Beta Students go to State Convention

The Dan River Middle School Chapter of the Junior Beta Club had 50 members present at last week’s State Beta Convention in Hampton, VA. Grace Doss represented the Dan River region and PCS as a whole as the last Virginia State Junior Beta Chaplain, serving with class at both General Sessions. The chapter received the Gold Key Award for growth in convention attendance, and the Songfest group finished in the top five. Individual awards were given to the following: Jenna Fletcher- 3rd Place, Poetry; Grayson Snead- 3rd Place, Sculpture; Dabney Grace Duren- 1st Place, Language Arts 7, and Savannah Barksdale- 1st Place, Language Arts 8.
