Dan River Middle School Volleyball honored their four 8th graders on Wednesday, September 25th as they took on Chatham Middle School. Dan River came out on top in two straight sets battling a very tough Chatham Middle School team by scores of 25-21 and 25-20. DRMS improved to 5-3 on the season and will host Laurel Park Middle School in their final home game (Pink Out Night) on Thursday, October 3rd.

The Dan River Middle School Boys Cross Country team won another team meet at Gretna High School on Wednesday, September 25th with a team score of 38. Appomattox Middle was second with 47 points, Chatham Middle was third with 55 points and Gretna Middle fourth with 84 points. Aiden Cook placed 4th overall with a time of 17:41.29. Other DRMS top five finishers were Jayden Alderson (6th), Jacob Lee (7th), Ryder Cooper (10th), and Charlie Jones (11th). Benjamin Chandler finished 16th and Graham Hoskins finished 18th.
Dan River Middle School's Ally Osborne remained undefeated this season as she finished first with a time of 19:10.12. Other DRMS runners were Jewel Williams (13th), Lexi Brown (15th) and Ava Cottrell (19th).
